The Setting:

The kids wanted me to feed the pig an avocado…apparently a normal thing around the finca (farm). Nico told me at the last minute to be careful because the pig bits. Fuzzy photo of the pig because Lourdes and Mono’s kids were yelling “Tia, Tia!” at me and pulling on my arms.

Linkin (or something like that) and Toro’s butt (he’s a boxer). Awesome dogs. Linkin is a better capoeirista than Toro. Toro needs to learn how to esquiva (dodge) b/c he just gets kicked in the head by his daddy.

Our hosts were Vladimir (the guy in the black shirt) and Diane (all the way to the right). Lovely people.

Saturday Afternoon/Evening:

Árabe could be found roaming the farm alone with his berimbau at all hours of the day and night…he became a bit of an urban legend – El Hombre del Berimbau. Look out for him next time you’re in the woods at night.

Vladimir juggling…he’s quite accomplished. I guess farming gets boring sometimes?

VICTORY!  Okay, so this wasn’t the time I actually landed it, but it gives you the best idea of what I was trying to do.  Kinda like a front walkover, but you lift one arm at the end and come out of it on one leg…kinda turning to one side.  So I lifted my left arm and walked out of it starting with my right foot…at least I did that one time.  And I’ll do it again!
